Player Biography
Jim Palmer was a “big game” pitcher for nearly two decades, helping the Baltimore Orioles to eight postseason appearances, six pennants and three World Series titles. Said Palmer upon being elected to the Hall of Fame, “I’m here because I played for the Baltimore Orioles. I was surrounded by great players. We had the kind of teams that, if you would get in shape and go out there, you’d win close to 20 games every season.”
