This new in memoriam version of the Hank Aaron bobblehead has gold text and in memoriam on the back of the base. It features Hank Aaron in his 1952 Indianapolis Clowns jersey. This batting bobblehead features Aaron's his unique cross-handed grip. Aaron grew up batting cross-handed, a grip not changed until he began his minor league career with the Eau Claire Bears in 1952. Aaron credited that grip with developing his legendary quick wrists allowing him to wait on pitches longer than a mortal baseball player. The bobblehead is authorized by Hank Aaron and is officially licensed by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

Exhibiting an understated style that became his trademark, Hank Aaron became the all-time home run champion via one of the most consistent offensive careers in baseball history with 3,771 hits. He hit 755 home runs, a record that stood for more than 30 years, and still holds major league records for total bases, extra-base hits and RBI. He was the 1957 National League Most Valuable Player, won three Gold Glove awards for his play in right field and was named to a record 25 All-Star games. Curt Simmons once said of Aaron, “Trying to throw a fastball by him is like trying to sneak a sunrise past a rooster.”
