This set of cards was produced in two series, Series 1 with cards 1-25 and Series 2 with cards 26-50. Dick Perez borrows the style of four different turn-of-the-century issues - 1909 Ramly (T204), 1911 Gold Borders (T205), 1908 Rose Co. postcards (PC760) and 1888 Goodwin Champions (N162), injecting each with the fine portraiture of ten different living Hall of Famers. A fifth style that does not pay tribute to old card sets is here for each as well, bringing the grand total of postcards to 100. Sealed, individually numbered sets, with matching numbers (same serial number for Series 1 and Series 2).
This 50-card set measures 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" and again features the fine artwork of Dick Perez. The set honors living Hall-of Famers at the time of issue and depicts them as if they might have appeared on several vintage card sets. The sets imitated are the Goodwin Champions of 1888, Rose Postcards of 1908, the T205 Gold Borders, 1909 Ramlys and one original design. The sets are numbered and are limited to 10,000 sets. The original issue price for each series was $135.
