Mordecai Brown - Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown's story is a testament to triumph over tragedy. Born in Indiana in 1876, he turned a severe farming accident, which cost him most of his right hand, into his greatest advantage on the baseball mound. Mastering a unique pitching grip, Brown became a legendary figure in baseball, bewildering batters with his pitches and helping the Chicago Cubs clinch back-to-back World Series titles in 1907 and 1908. With a career ERA of 2.06, his journey from adversity to the heights of baseball glory not only earned him a place in the Hall of Fame in 1949 but also made him an enduring symbol of resilience and determination.

Daniel Jacob Horine is a highly acclaimed baseball artist known for his talent in capturing the essence of America's favorite pastime through the visual language of comic books. Born and raised in a small town with a deep-rooted passion for both art and baseball, Horine's unique blend of creativity, his love for the game, and his frequent collaborations with former major leaguers has made him a standout figure in the baseball art world. His highly collectible artwork has been showcased in the Baseball Hall of Fame and featured on Topps baseball cards, and has attracted a wide range of enthusiasts, collectors, and baseball aficionados.

Player Biography
“That old paw served me pretty well in its time,” said Mordecai Brown. “It gave me a firmer grip on the ball, so I could spin it over the hump. It gave me a greater dip.” After his pitching hand was mangled in a farm-machine accident as a youth, Brown became known as “Three-Finger.” Despite the injury, Brown was one of the best National League pitchers of the early-20th century winning 239 games – nearly 65 percent of his starts. He posted six 20-win seasons and once beat Christy Mathewson in nine straight matchups. Brown’s Chicago Cubs won four N.L. pennants and two World Series championships.
