He quickly revived the Mariners franchise with power at the plate, grace in center field and charisma that sparkled throughout the baseball world. By the end of his 22-year big league career, Griffey had totaled 630 home runs, 13 All-Star Game selections, 10 Gold Glove Awards and the 1997 American League MVP Award.
