This is an original Joe McGinnity Baseball Hall of Fame Plaque Postcard released from 1956 to 1963.  Produced over 60 years ago by the official HOF postcard manufacturer at the time, Artvue.  Condition is excellent.

Player Biography
Joe McGinnity was nicknamed “Iron Man” because he worked in a foundry during the offseason, but the moniker also became a fitting description of his pitching career. McGinnity was famous for starting, and completing, both ends of a doubleheader – accomplishing the feat three times in August 1903, winning all six games. As a rookie with the Baltimore Orioles in 1899, he led the National League with 28 victories. McGinnity paced the league in wins four more times in is 10-year career, winning 246 games. McGinnity was a member of the pennant-winning teams with the Brooklyn Superbas in 1900 and the New York Giants in 1905.
