Published by the Perez-Steele Art Galleries from 1980 through 2002, the Perez-Steele Hall of Fame Art Postcard Series has long been a favorite with collectors. Based on the original artwork of Dick Perez, each limited edition postcard features a water-color portrait of a Hall of Famer overlaid with an action image illustration.  The card backs feature a standard postcard layout with the Hall of Famer's year of Induction and basic career stats. Each card was printed in a limited quantity of 10,000 and includes a protective sleeve.

Player Biography
The greatest master of the legal spitball, “Big Ed” Walsh averaged 24 victories per season for the Chicago White Sox during a seven-year span from 1906 to 1912. The right-hander is best remembered for his amazing 1908 season, when he finished with a 40-15 record, 42 complete games, 11 shutouts, 269 strikeouts and a 20th century record of 464 innings pitched. During a six-year period, he averaged 375 innings a season. “Although I worked hard in the mines,” he said during that run, “I work harder when I play ball.”
