Published by the Perez-Steele Art Galleries from 1980 through 2002, the Perez-Steele Hall of Fame Art Postcard Series has long been a favorite with collectors. Based on the original artwork of Dick Perez, each limited edition postcard features a water-color portrait of a Hall of Famer overlaid with an action image illustration.  The card backs feature a standard postcard layout with the Hall of Famer's year of Induction and basic career stats. Each card was printed in a limited quantity of 10,000 and includes a protective sleeve.

Player Biography
Gaylord Perry won 314 games, struck out 3,534 batters, earned Cy Young awards in both leagues, and hurled a no-hitter during his 22-year major league career with eight teams. But the spitball – or more accurately, the threat of one – gave Perry his everlasting fame. The author of “Me and the Spitter” could distract and frustrate through an array of rituals on the mound, including fidgeting with his glove, uniform and the bill of his cap. When Perry retired in 1983, he proclaimed, “The league will be a little drier now, folks.”
