Pulbished by the Perez-Steele Art Galleries from 1980 through 2002, the Perez-Steele Hall of Fame Art Postcard Series has long been a favorite with collectors. Based on the original artwork of Dick Perez, each limited edition postcard features a water-color portrait of a Hall of Famer overlaid with an action image illustration.  The card backs feature a standard postcard layout with the Hall of Famer's year of Induction and basic career stats. Each card was printed in a limited quantity of 10,000 and includes a protective sleeve.

Player Biography
During a 14-year career spent primarily with the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Beaneaters, “Sliding Billy” Hamilton became the game’s most dominant run-scoring machine. His ability to get on base and manufacture runs was unparalleled. Hamilton’s 1,691 runs scored in 1,578 games played ranks as the highest ratio of all time, and his record of 196 runs scored for the 1894 Phillies has stood for more than 100 years. A fearless baserunner, Hamilton stole 937 career bases, including 115 in 1891. He was also a master at the plate, batting better than .300 for 12 consecutive years, compiling a .344 career average.
